Major Drug Busts Result in Multiple Arrests

Seven Arrested in Santa Cruz Bar

Seven people were arrested in Santa Cruz following a search of a local bar based on a two-year investigation by Santa Cruz police and other local law enforcement agencies. During the raid at The Avenue Bar authorities seized cocaine, OxyContin and marijuana. In addition to the seven arrests, three more people were cited and there could be future arrests as police said the investigation is ongoing. California State Alcohol Beverage Control agents will also be reviewing the status of the bar's liquor license.

Duluth Cocaine Network Broken Up

The Lake Superior Drug and Gang Task Force arrested six people believed to be part of a drug sales network in Duluth, Minnesota. During the arrest, police confiscated five handguns and ammunition, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs, in addition to several vehicles and a large amount of money. Authorities hope these arrests will make a significant impact on reducing the number of violent crimes and that they will deter other drug dealers from selling cocaine in the Duluth area.

Two Men Arrested for Dealing Crack From Florida Motel Room

Forty-two-year-old Tracy William Price and thirty-nine-year-old Lorenzo Steve McIntyre, both of Fort Myers, FL, have been arrested for sale and possession of crack cocaine. The men were staying at a Travel Inn when police responded to complaints about drug sales from their room. Police search the hotel room and found 15 grams of crack cocaine and one gram of marijuana.

Cocaine Dealers Arrested in Indiana

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested three men for dealing cocaine in Warsaw, Indiana. Thirty-five-year-old Eliseo Romero Gonzalez, 35, was arrested and charged with felony dealing cocaine. Thirty-two-year-old Julio Millan Francisco was arrested and charged with felony dealing cocaine and neglect of a dependent. Twenty-five-year-old Luis Enrique Ruvalcaba was also arrested and charged with felony dealing cocaine and neglect of a dependent. As this is an ongoing investigation, authorities say they expect to make more arrests in connection with the drug sales in Warsaw.

Indiana Drug Bust Nets 34 Arrests

Thirty-four local residents were arrested and charged in one of the largest drug busts ever conducted in Washington, Indiana. Federal agents from DEA assisted Washington Police and Daviess County Sheriff's deputies serve nineteen federal arrest warrants following a two-year investigation in local drug sales. Twenty-seven-year-old Molly Haag, fifty-two-year-old Pamela Johnston, forty-year-old Todd Miller, twenty-eight-year-old Matthew Osborne, thirty-one-year-old Derrick Parker, and forty-seven-year-old John Sears were charged with dealing or conspiracy to deal in cocaine. Agents from the Daviess County Sheriff's Department, the Washington Police Department, State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Marshal's Service, Vincennes Police Department, Gibson County Sheriff's Department, Evansville Police Department, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department, Vincennes University Police Department, Odon Police Department, Elnora Town Marshal and the Daviess County Prosecutor's Office were involved in the bust.
