Women Sells Crack to Undercover Agent and Other Cocaine Crime News
Millions in Heroin and Cocaine Found in Parked Car
Chicago police discovered nearly $5 million worth of heroin and cocaine after responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle left near 33rd Street and Pulaski Road. Inside the car, authorities found 21 kilograms of heroin and 13 kilograms of cocaine. While no arrests have been made, police called the recovery of such a large amount of drugs a significant blow to the local drug market.
Three Arrested in Winona Raid
Southeast Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Taskforce, Winona Police Department and the Winona County Rural Crime Unit raided an apartment in the Chicago suburb following an investigation into drug sales at a Winona apartment complex. Prior to the raid, two women allegedly sold cocaine to police informants, which led to the search. Police found 25 grams of crack cocaine and five grams of powder cocaine during the search. Two women, Vikkeda Paulette Johnson, 37, and her daughter, India Paulette Johnson, 19, were arrested and charged with third-degree sale of cocaine, aiding and abetting third-degree sale of cocaine, and first-degree possession of cocaine. Freddy Perkins, 40, was charged with first-degree sale of cocaine because authorities believe he delivered drugs to the Johnsons on a regular basis. When he was arrested he had $800 in cash on him.
Poughkeepsie Man Pleads Guilty to Dealing Cocaine
Alaric Wilson, 34, of Poughkeepsie pled guilty to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance stemming from an arrest in April. During his arrest, Wilson had cocaine in the back pocket of his pants and he admitted to police and to the judge that he intended to sell it. In exchange for his guilty plea, Wilson was promised a sentence of no more than three and a half years in state prison.
Florida Woman Arrrested for Selling Crack
Thirty-four-year-old Treshunda Laverne Platt of Charlotte Harbor, FL, was arrested for selling crack cocaine to an undercover officer of the Charlotte County Sherriff’s Narcotics Unit. Platt lives at Bayshore Park and approached the undercover officer asking him what he needed. When the officer offered Platt $100 for crack, Platt had the officer drive her to a home in Punta Gorda where she got the crack and sold it to the officer. The cocaine sale took place within 1,000 feet of a childcare facility, a recreation center and a church. Platt was arrested and charged with Sale and Delivery of Crack Cocaine Within 1,000 Feet of a Child Care Facility, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Platt is a convicted felon and was currently on conditional release supervision from the Florida Department of Corrections for Robbery and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Because she violated her probation, she was additionally charged with Violation of Probation.
Arizona Parolee Goes on Robbery Spree
Forty-five-year-old Charles Payne, of Chandler, AZ, went on a one-man robbery spree the day after he was released from prison after serving over five years for third-degree burglary. Payne broke into ten downtown Chandler businesses and stole cash from stores and registers. Payne needed the cash to support his crack cocaine habit. He was arrested on suspicion of 10 counts of 3rd-degree burglary.
